Well, I've been lurking around for awhile and thought I might introduce myself and throw up some photos of the EF.
Well, name's Michael, I just go by Miller though, 17, still go to school and all that Jazz.
Been a ford person since before I could remember, my mums last 4 previous cars where an EF wagon, AU1 forte, AU1 futura, AU2 XR8 and her current is an XR6T. The old man has a pontiac (gm rubbish, bit fun to drive though ;)) ZH-ZJ LTD (no idea which one) and his 2 door RS2000.
Anyway, got my Ps last august and I had bought a nissan exa off my neighbour and fully sicked it up a little bit
Problem is, that I would wake up of a morning wondering if the car would start or not, and I would have to cover my face driving that thing around, it was just plain embarassing. It was unreliable, leaked water (it's a targa top), constantly decided to run on 3 cylinders, backfired, broke down so many damn times, christ you name it!
By christmas myself and the old man decided it was time for it to go, did a bit of hunting around on ebay and all the car trader websites and I finally landed myself the perfect car right here on the fordforums!
Few details, 95 Futura, 5 speed, pacemaker extractors, high flow cat, 2.5" exhaust all the way through with 1 muffler and no tip. Interior was/is clean as, exterior almost perfect, but paint is a bit dodgy in places because I'd say it's been in an accident. The car was also located in WA so I had to get it shipped over, and when I picked it up from TNT, first thing I noticed...slipping clutch

: .
Ah well, put a brand spanken new clutch innit. Anyway, best part about the car that appealed to me the most, is that it had only done 103xxxkms. I was having a hard time finding an e series under 180 thousand. So here is some pics.
Now, I have a question about this one
Basically the timing chain snapped and bent 5 valves on the old head, so I was going to get them all replaced which would cost me about $100. Rang around a few wreckers and a fella said I could grab a tickford head off the shelf for $150. So I went down and grabbed it, tickford or not I thought it was a bargain. Anyway, after seeing a few photos of cars on here, I am not too convinced it is a tickford head. The valves are indeed about 2mm bigger on this than the old head, and there is a T cast into the front of the head underneath the serpentine belt cover thingo. Any clarification would be great ;)
Now, first thing on the agenda is of course to lower the car, not for **** factor but for the fact that the car handles like a dog's breakfast, all over the place. Also going to convert the rear windows to power windows and I am looking at getting some leather interior for it, can only do this when funds permit though

.
Anyway, if you have read this to the end you are a champ and I DO apologize for the life story, just thought I'd say g'day!
Cheers
