I seem to remember several ultra high speed splats on the east coast. The 100km/h speed limit did not save them either.
The new limit has nothing to do with safety and a LOT to do with dogmatic agenda. If comrade claire is not rolled over this at the next election then it will be game over for ever.
Territorians, you are our last hope........

I said nothing about the speed limits at all saving lives , in fact I do believe I'd rather the open limits. Its not really about saving lives at all, just putting a limit there to show that there are boundaries... like any sort of driving, you drive to the conditions.
I just happened to know the bloke with the motorcycle. He was a mates uncle, a mad bike bloke who even wore a Jacket with the signage Up on 1.
Just naming a few experiences I have had with the Stuart highway.
As OutbackJack said that Clare Martin's position as Chief Minister is just about set in as the Bitumen that the Stuart Highway is made of. All Clare Martin has to do is not be associated with the CLP.
