Steffo, you think bus and rail fares are expensive? Catch a taxi. Private vehicle - price of petrol, parking meters/stations, insurance? Compared with major cities around the world, Sydney has actually one of the lowest fare structures on a per kilometres travelled basis for public transport. Think I'm making this up? Read the Parry report (table on page 51 under
'Fair Fares & Efficient Subsidies'). Don't start an argument with me, I work in that area. If you still think the figures are suss, go to Tokyo and find out the hard way...

Bob Carr is the longest serving State premier in NSW ever.. The people of NSW have overwhelming supported Bob Carr for 10 years in democracy.
Many loved and Voted for him, History will show he left on his own terms, was never voted out by the NSW voters. Regardless which side of politics you support he will be remembered as a productive forward thinking leader that stood for 10 years.

Agreed. Anyone can criticise the government in power all day every day. I wonder, honestly, how many of them actually come up with improvements or suggestions, forward them and cc them to the Opposition? They need all the ammo they can get, being incumbent for the last decade or so.
Or of course the polls have pretty much determined that for the last how many years.
