Well, I called yesterday and spoke to Chris on the mail order custom tunes.
Big thanks to Chris... very humbled by the time he gave me to talk about this over the phone. He is obvioulsy very busy (keeping all of us forum customers happy!) yet he explained everything to me propperly, making sure I understand the process.

I feel that this is a service that can benefit someone like me... I travel alot for work and when I am home for the weekends, I want to be driving the bejesus out of my car, not taking it to a workshop and leaving it there for the day.

My understanding is that no dyno run is required. Chris will compile 3 versions of a tune and send them to me on an SCT. I'll have a play with them and let him know which one I like. From there some fine tuning may be required.

I'm not chasing dyno numbers, just after a better feeling, better responding and all round better performing vehicle. I think this is an option worth considering.
