Hours worked per week:35-60 and a few times a year around 80-100 hours (financial year end)
Annual salary: $1250 a day contract only. average around 220-230 days a year

Pros: I work my hours. Huge demand for my skills. Some days I am just an insurance policy to have in the office, get to play on the net. Take long lunches. Everyone buys you coffee. THE MONEY!!!.
Cons: Travel can be a killer sometimes if you work on multiple projects. Have done 18 weeks fly in fly out to NZ. 8 flights in a single week. Time away from the family and friends. Dealing with knobs that have no idea. Paperwork and red tape. Having clients that expect too much. Being paid so much everyone wants their pound of flesh and expect you to work 18 hours a day.
