1. It's more widely available. Why waste money on second hand items when you can get basically all furniture new and in a year or a bit you can own it.
2. A few years ago, I used to go out Thursday Friday night and be awake all night and straight into work. I don't think this has changed, my parents tell me similar stories about them growing up.
3. Why should the government tell you how to spend your money. (I'm not on Centrelink)
4. I don't think this has changed much, not everyone is suited to be together.
