Hardware on MAC is the same as a PC system, my point was that to buy a new Mac now, you are buying at least one generation older than current and paying the same (or more) money for it.
Modern Mac, you are paying for an OS and the belief of better hardware and support. But my experience, you are paying for an OS and overpaying for hardware. (price up a RAM upgrade on a Macbook against and other branded laptop and you will see.
