Stinger is a good car but is it $60,000 Kia good? I think its failure is the badge on the bonnet and its price tag, where have the 30% of Commodore buyers who were buying the SS gone, where did they go? Not to the Kia Stinger it seems.
It was the logical replacement for the XR6T/SS Falcodore customer.
Maybe the Stinger should have been under a different brand? IE Hyundai has Genesis, should Kia have their own 'upper' brand that the Stinger was marketed under?
I feel this is more a failure of marketing rather than the product itself, the 270KW 3.3L twin turbo V6 sedan didn't resonate with the buyers of 270KW I6T Falcon or 304KW V8 VF SS sedans.
