One macabre stat that accompanied an article i read on the above was...
"As of 2020, 61 Boeing 747s have been lost in accidents and incidents, in which a total of 3,722 people have died".....cheerful

Following on from the above, Altas Air have taken delivery of the last 747 and have performed a special flight from Everett to Cincinnati, painting a celebratory path for the Queen of the Skies on the way through. Here's the aircraft track. I'll see if I can upload a closer image of the path she painted on her way.
