Data valid as at 00:00 GMT week ending May 26th 2023.

50,401 new cases for Australia and 219 deaths so the CMR is 0.180% (é).
NZ reported 14,151 cases and 79 deaths for a CMR of 0.184% (é).
194,330 new cases in the USA this week and 947 deaths for a CMR of 1.088% (ê).

Other notable points:
Global cases pass 689M;
The USA passes 107M cases;

Global case numbers are down to394,097 this week compared to the 450,713 last week and the number of deaths increased from an unamended 2,484 last week to2,887this week although the amended case numbers for last week are up to 501,153 thanks largely to some countries moving to weekly or fortnightly reporting.

NSW had 5,383 more cases than Victoria last week;
Victoria recorded 1,326 more cases than the previous week;
NSW recorded 290 less;
Queensland had 385 more;WA recorded 434 more;
SA recorded 756 more; and
New Zealand recorded 2,429 more.

The week totalled 50,401 cases, a 30.2% increase on last week. That’s the first week over 50k cases since January 6th.
