the blues I was running with were lighter blues (think Tim's focus blue). alternate if you do want a dark colour you would want to consider a white background to it

I totally agree, dark colours are impossible to see against glass.
Also, these stickers are usually vinyl cut, so multiple colors means two cuts from different sheets of vinyl, could get expensive, but certainly not impossible.
