Basically photoshop is asking you to update your fonts to match those in the psd file. Open the psd in PS7 and change the font to something that cs8 have and ps7 have....then it should open. Or copy the fonts too the font dir in cs8.

Sounds like that would fix it...only problem is, I have hundreds of ads that i have done and it would take me ages to change all the fonts in them.
NONE of my files open!! which would mean not one of them uses a font that it shared between both versions
what do you mean by copying the fonts to the 'font dir' in CS??
