Sign of a troubled and dying industry. I don't think anyone could save the big three, (or the troubled ones like mits and nissan), and it's about time whoever 'wins' musical chairs at the position to stop getting paid so much to fill a seat and do nothing but cut backs while grifting.

True leaders and visionaries won't get that seat at an automotive company any time soon because they don't see a future in the industry, only yes men and conservatives think there must be a way to fix it, because they don't see the world with young people not buying cars due to costs, housing density, licences, full time employment at a decent wage and housing affordability issues.

Oh well, better they flop about and disappear rather than grift and whinge like qantas' Joyce does for a living and refuses to go away.
