Can't speak for type2, but that's not true for type 1. As mentioned back at the start, type 1 is an autoimmune disease. The pancreas stops producing insulin. This can't be reversed through diet or wishful thinking or any other Pete Evans type deal that people think up.
I realise you said 'some' situations and obviously meant no offense, but i just get a bit sensitive to those types of comments.
