Had one as a hire car for a fishing trip out of Exmouth back in 2008, quite liked it. If you look at the pricing on carsales, for what you get for Pajero's 51K, it's pretty impressive.

Dazz is correct the utes and their wagons have come on and when you compare the online driveaway pricing (Pajero Sport 45ish, Fortuner 46, Prado GX 61, LC200, I saw a GXL at 102 lol, Defender 80 whaa) the ute based wagons are pretty good value - about Territory TX AWD money from 2005. MUX seems to be the reputation winner.
