Hi guys
Recently I replaced the water pump and belt/tensioner/pulleys on my auto FG MK II XR6 (219,000kms) .. I noticed there is a leak at the crank front seal. The car has a Powerbond 20% underdrive harmonic balancer. It does leak a bit of oil onto the ground but not always. I really dont want to fork out $200+ for the balancer removal tool and a new seal unless its essential Will it affect engine life ? Should I replace it or just keep an eye on oil levels? Cheers |

From memory, possibly drilled a starter hole in the perimeter to jam in a standard T-headed extractor. Remember it coming out pretty mangled. Certainly no special seal puller in its own box - just one from the drawer.
