Default purchasing fireworks in the A.C.T.

hey all
I am looking to purchase some fireworks from the ACT for a big New Years event I am going to. I have been reading and legally to purchase some it can only be done before queens birthday for a resident of ACT.

Is that correct and does anyone from ACT know where I can purchase some within next few days? I am looking at buying $500 worth.

I can also look after someone in the ACT if they can help me out :voldar02:

So what makes Canberra any different than any other state in relation to the purchase of fireworks ?

ACT and NT (or perhaps Darwin only) are the only places allowed to legally sell retail fireworks to the public. Yes, there are date restrictions (amongst other things).

This has a little info as a starting point.

Left it a bit late.
There is a bloke in Sydneys Western Suburbs you can buy them from , he is a mobile service but it is a few weeks wait to line it up and he only really does fairly large orders.

AFF - Not really the best place to be asking where to get illegal fireworks.
