Disgusting, targeting an area filled with predominantly teenage girls. All because someone believes in a different fairy in the sky to someone else. Religion of all kind in evil.

I feel for the families involved, having just watched Four Corners last night about the Lindt siege.

I was also a little annoyed at the official arena twitter response to it. It screamed damage control and was very poorly worded and timed.

Absolutely terrible for the victims and their families. But unfortunately just part of modern life now, we will just go through the motions of prayers and vigils and increased security and condemn anyone who questions the ideology behind it as racists and bigots.

stopping this insanity will be near impossible, they think nothing of killing innocent people, women , children. We fight by the 'rules' they don't. unfortunately, unless you fight fire with fire (and a normal sane person won't) we will continue to have this happen, it is sad and now a fact. to bring ones self to even think that shows how bad it is becoming.

When will authorities and event organisers around the world realise that the sooner they have a total ban on all large bags and back packs being brought into venues and events such as these, it will go a long way to preventing bombs and weapons being taken in.

Yes, I know a suicide terrorist can strap a bomb under their jacket, but it is a lot harder to conceal and get through security!

I can't see a way to stop it. The MCG tried a perimeter fence and all that did was create bigger crowds just a bit further away. If somebody wanted to it would have been a perfect target. That's the issue in my eyes, getting people through security fast enough that it doesn't create crowds of people while being able to weed out anything suspicious.

We don't fight by the rules either because we can't. The rules have been stacked against us. We have traitorous, insipid virtue signalling politicians and media and a PM who waffles about 'mutual respect' and 'tolerance' that only goes one way, while he breaks bread with our mortal enemies and impending doom...

Another jihadist Islamist attack you say? No, no, no; the religion of peace that details in its scriptures to kill unbelievers can't possibly be responsible...

Your damned if you do and damned if you dont.

All I can see is segregation and international migration laws getting tougher, its about the only thing Govco can attempt to control.

Alot of the fight back begins at street level, knowing your neighbour etc and even that wont stop everything.

It's not a religious attack.
It's a loan wolf attack performed by someone of a particular religion who happens to have the same religion as all previous loan wolf attacks in countries where that particular religion is a minority.

It's a no wonder people jump to the religious thing instantly when this keeps happening few times a year.

Now where can I get my Facebook profile picture changed to have the British flag over it so I can be sure these terrorist attacks never happen again.

This also reaches farther than just the location. I have a very good friend who works in the emergency control center of a nearby district. Her command is second support and has been dealing with sending teams and also the secondary 999 calls when that area is swamped. Full terrorist protocol and mutual aid protocols have been implemented and everything is on alert.

She found it very difficult today and after a 14hr shift is mentally exhausted. I have never known her to be so affected by a shift at work before but today she was very different.

I dread to think what the first responders have had to deal with including the staff of the arena....

Absolutely gutless cowards.
This does not change anything one iota, how do these simple minded morons think it will.
If they're that aggrieved then go to the badlands, pick up an AK47 and fight like a man.

30,862 deadly terrorist attacks since 9/11 and counting. The religion of peace has only managed to launch 54 attacks this month well down on the 165 last month.

I am surprised this hasn't been closed down? I have posted political messages in the past have been closed down or banned. It will happen here. ASIO has 72, yes 72, terrorist investigations on going. Australians have been de-armed. I worry for the future of my grandchildren.....

Let's not forget it's the Catholics who protects adult males that rape little boys. Yeah ok they might blow up a concert in the name of their religion and kill people openly, but it's just as bad to kill a person, mentally and/ or physically, behind closed doors.

My point is all religions have their evil aspects, this thread might last more than a day if we don't bag the daylights out of one of them.

Islamic scriptures are quite clear in their intent, yet the acts perpetrated as a result are classed as 'nothing to do with Islam'.

Christian priests do not take their devious inspiration from biblical writings because no such directives exist, yet it is 'Christianity's fault'.

There is no such thing as Islamic terrorism. They are following the instructions clearly stated in their Koran...

Have you read and interpreted the Quran Yob?
as with any religious text the 'stories' are open to interpretation, its my belief that many Quranic phrases on violence are in the context of a defensive response to oppression;

Ask anyone and everyone. We all feel oppressed about something. GovCo , parents , police , spouses , education system , media , workplace.....

So let's use that context and blow the $&@( out of each other everywhere and be done with it....

There is a thing called logic and reasoning and diplomacy and a higher understanding of the human state which allows for moderate interpretation of all sources of information no matter where it comes from.... it's what separates us from the "animals" which rely on pure instinct alone.

Terrible tragedy, such senseless violence will achieve nothing.

I feel sick and sorry for all affected, sadly the Brits have seen so much terrorism.

I lived in London in the 80's and 90's, lots of terrorist attacks happening then. Those terrorists were Christians and all looked a bit like me. I worked in construction for many years in London as did many Irishmen. Whenever the IRA set off a bomb innocent Irish people living in London would become the target of bashings, abuse and general distrust from some ill informed people. I don't know what those ill informed people hoped to achieve, it never helped.

I see the usual suspects are out again in this thread spewing their caustic bile. I don't know what you hope to achieve, but it will not help.

I guess you will push your personal agendas' until another thread gets closed.

To face reality and express concern isn't caustic bile. The difference being is that Western Europe is going through a dramatic demographic change which is taking snowball effect as every year passes. Overall Islam make up a very small percentage of the population in Europe and yet look at the social issues most EU countries are dealing with, with Muslim 'youths'.. So what is the story going to be like when they have 20 or 30 or 40 percent of the population!? Enough proof already that they won't and can't integrate. All of the lefty feel good BS policies of the past few decades have been a complete failure, they know this, have used it to their advantage as tolerance is only a one way street.

Europe needs to realise they can't fix this while refusing to identify the problem. Too bad for them, these attacks are going to become more frequent. Even the Muslim mayor of London said so.

It is a sad and disgusting world we now live in. It is only getting worse with these cowards killing the innocent for their own political or religious beliefs.

What makes it worse is, they are winning.
