Default Looks like this will have to be the next mod to both the XF and the EB...

Yes, Nikki (LuvinmyEB) is going to have a baby, and I'm going to be a dad!

7 (nearly 8) weeks down, just over another 32 to go until the big day. :

It's just been confirmed with a blood test by a doctor after a home test a week ago showed a positive result.

Umm, not sure what else to say right now...

Troy and Nikki, congratulations. Lets hope that the little one has blue blood, not that awful red stuff Holden supporters have. You of all people deserve every happiness, especially after the Slum Lord incident earlier this year.

Surprises are what keeps life exciting. Congratulations.

Hahaha, nah, I'll always want another Escort mate, just now this means that instead of having one as a daily driver, it looks like it'll be my 'weekend' car once I get another one - which isn't a bad thing, means I can make it as wild as I want without having to worry about if it's practical for daily driving But that's not going to be for a few years now - I sold the last of our 3 Escorts today, and I'll admit I wasn't exactly happy to see it taken away on the back of a trailer and out of my life. Oh well.

Thanks everyone for your congratulations, now, I remember a while ago there being a thread about Ford baby seats (well, just baby seats in blue and white with Ford embroidered on them), did anybody manage to find where we could get one like that?

More space in the Falcon for all the baby gear (safer in an accident too, Troy)! Just turn those speakers down when the baby's in the back :

CONGRATS TO NIKKI AND TROY! I'm so excited for the both of you, I don't have any baby stuff to pass on though cos my youngest is now 9 and I've had the snip... no more babies for me, so I gave all my baby stuff away pretty soon after that.

See Troy I can keep a secret! Even with my big mouth

Hehehe, yeah, although out of the two the EB would be the safer car by far, as well as being more practical (fold down rear seats, easier to get things in and out of the boot, more boot space), so I doubt the XF will be used for transporting the little one around much. So I shouldn't have to turn those speakers down after all.

It's ok Bindi, you don't owe us anything, far from it, I've still got to make up a package to send up to you in return for the XF manual and speakers! So even if you had baby stuff... Besides, transporting stuff from where you are would be a pain.

And yes, thanks for not saying anything until I had made the big announcement on here

Congrats to you both! The first ultrasound is one of the most amazing experiences you'll ever have. Blows you away don't it....Do yourself a favour, go to every ultrasound and learn to change nappies, then you can have as many "father and son/daughter" days as possible. I cherish every moment with my son .
PS. He loves the sound and feel of the V8 and giggles like a loon everytime I give it a boot. Training him early....

And knowing that it's not my niece, nephew, or anything like that, I was looking at someone who is a direct descendant of me, that wouldn't exist if it wasn't for me.

You got that right, I'm definitely stoked about it mate, and believe me, every moment is and will be special, even when I'm changing a crappy nappy, or being woken up after only getting 5 minutes sleep by a crying baby.

Believe me mate, I'll be at every ultrasound, even if I have to walk there over burning coals and broken glass in bare feet! It's just such an amazing experience. Absolutely blows you away. I can already change nappies, done it many times already, used to change my cousins nappies many years ago when she was a baby, also my mum used to look after little kids while their parents went to work, so I used to help out by changing nappies, feeding them, etc. But I can imagine it will be very different changing the nappy on our own child.

Good job on training him early, I think growing up with us, there is no chance they won't grow up to love cars - I know my niece is already a big fan of cars, as soon as she goes out the front, she runs to the car and says "broom broom!" while trying to open the door to get in, because she wants to go for a drive! And if given half a chance, here is where she'll sit:

Hahaha, nah, petrol still, for now, but I can see how people would look at the title and think "another LPG conversion thread" :hihi:

Reduce performance? Noooooooo! The XF doesn't have any to lose! :hihi: :

Thanks everyone for your responses, we appreciate the kind words

Thanks mate, and yes they have, but I wouldn't have it any other way.

Just means I'll have to wait a few more years before I get myself a new toy

Thanks guys.

Needless to say that explains my absence of late, I'm tired ALL the time, I feel like I need a bucket next to me 24/7, and the fun has only just begun. :P

I can't believe I just gave away the last of my baby stuff too because I was 'apparently' infertile. :

So looking forward to the sleepless nights again.

I know, it will all be worth it though. ;)
