Default Need Help Finding a Song

I don't know if anyone can help but this is driving me nuts I really want to track down this song...

It was released within 5 years ago, It was a popular song, Style: alternative, I really liked the song until someone pointed out to me that you could here the singer taking a heavy breath between each line. It was a male singer.

I can't remember who it was by, song title, song lyrics nothing...

I'm normally fairly good with these sort's of things aswell. But even the smallest thing would help. I can think of atleast half a dozen artists...

Sorry I can't remember any of the words... it was an alternative band sort of like eskimo joe or the living end that sort of style. I'm fairly certain they are australian. A friend of mine thinks they won an award and the lead singer was wearing a nazi hat? This didn't ring any bells to me and I couldn't find it on google.

I'm still going crazy trying to think of it

If you can't remember much of it ... that it mustn't have been that good/memorable then.

Lets reconstruct the original post so it makes more sense...

"Hi, I'm looking for a song. I have absolutely no idea what it sounds like. I can list bands that were around at the time and know a couple of random things about the band....which may not be true. I have a mate that says random things to me as well. In fact, don't even look for this song... I'm wasting my time. Move along, nothing to see here."

the living end?
grinspoon
regurgetator
jebediah
you am i
powderfinger
silverchair
the list could be endless.

what station did you hear it on? this may narrow it down. Also, try to think exactly where you were when you listened to it, and what show/station/filmclip? etc. MORE DETAILS.

Also, go to amazon.com and type in popular bands from that era and listen to samples. Ive found hundreds of songs doing that, especially since i steer away from this mediocre bopper crap thats out nowadays, but thats another story.

Could be anything mate.

Is it that song that goes

"I got potential, I got potential
Run Around"

This guy takes a big breath between each line, like he almost can't keep up!
