Default What makes a thread become Sticky?

Is it to do with popularity/importance info it contains?

Thanks for that but I suppose thats my question what kind of examples would justify a sticky thread? Im assuming the sticky thread stays at the front of there section eg Pub?

If that was the case then we would all be in trouble with Casper having everything he's posted as a 'sticky'.... on the belief he is popular and important!!!

or the fact that I can make and remove stickys on any thread anywhere anyhow as it is right now??
No, Stickys usually contain information that is "longterm" where the information is usually a FAQ and it needs to be easily found for newbies.

Something like if Melz posted up her reasoning for not putting a clevo in the XB. I'd sticky that so everyone who is going to ask her in the next 3 or 4 years can just find the answer there. :gren:
