This car:
Is an absolute weapon! He rang me before to tell me his time, first run of the night, and I got goosebumps! Damn that thing is quick - 9th fastest overall on the e-series quarter miles register, including V8s and turbo cars! He is running it out there tonight exactly as it runs on the street - 17" BA XR copies and legal tyres all round, you name it. Well done mate |

thanks guys... overall i am pretty damn happy!!!
I ran into VEGABASS, before i got my slip, and he said, well how do you think you went. i said,4000rpm launch, it pushed be back, but not too bad. i stringed together a few good shifts.. i couldnt believe it when i saw 13.822 on the slip. i still tried to better it though. for some reason, you get a time, and you think, maybe there is a bit more... i followed it up with a 13.92

well, the secret to a good launch...
firstly, bake your tyres, start in the water, and then creep out about 3m. then stop, and do a mini launch, and see how sticky it is... and then another mini launch. you know if its sticky then... dial 4000rpm, say a few nice words to your clutch, and when you actually move off the line, let the clutch out a bit, and then full throttle and slip it out quickly.

Awesome result.
That car must hand it to plenty of stocko LS1's and XR6T's on the street. Hmm. I've got a spare AU motor, T5 and EA... - John |
