Default AFL vs. NRL

Hey,
I did a search but couldn't find anything so feel free to close if need be...........

What do you prefer AFL or NRL? I prefer AFL but am starting to get into NRL.....Can anyone tell me any rules and stuff about it?

Thanks,

Pretty sure this is going to swing one sided towards AFL, I was thinking that when I saw it come up on tele last night.

They each have their pro's and con's.

AFL
Pro: Does take alot of skill
Con: Not often do you see a skillful game
Pro: It flows onwards
Con: It flows because they're chasing it around on the ground until they stop.
Pro: The players aren't brainless idiots (as much)
Pro: Some damn good marks.

NRL
Pro: When they tackle, they TACKLE, not grab each other like they're having rough sex.
Con: The game doesn't flow. Why even have scrums these days?
Pro: State of Origin, Test series, Aus -NZ.
Con: They're idiots.

Each have their own qualities, I'd prefer both of them over soccer in terms of a spectator sport, but I had to choose NRL, mainly because I don't often see an AFL game that can keep me interested. If its good neat play after good neat play, I can watch, if its constant fumbles and dribble kicks and behinds I'll change the channel.

AFL
Pro: Does take alot of skill to get them shorts on..
Con: Not often do you see a skillful game because most time is spent fumbling the ball.
Pro: It flows onwards for the few seconds there actually not fumbling.
Con: It flows because they're chasing it around on the ground until they stop.see what I mean, they must coat the ball with butter.
Pro: The players aren't brainless idiots (as much)they just have really high pitched voices on the field, because of them tight shorts.
Pro: Some damn good marks. they love showing off them shorts dont they..

NRL
Pro: When they tackle, they TACKLE, they grab each other like they're having rough sex.
Con: The game doesn't flow. Why even have scrums these days?because they must really love the smell of a mans arss..
Pro: State of Origin, the time of year where wally lewis comes out of hibernation.
Con: They're idiots.with no necks, but I wouldnt call them that..
..:P ..

I don't really care for either, but if I was a mad supporter, it would have to be NRL.

You said it. My wife is a Sheffield Wednesday supporter and you can argue its the true football because you always kick the ball.

I prefer sticking pins in my eyes to watching it though.

As a follower of League and Union, you can tell a Victorian created this thread. Other countries dont play NRL, unless they have playstation 2 at home.

the word Footbal means different things to everybody, soccer to me mum, AFL to me dad, NRL to me so when somebodyy says footbal they need to say the what they mean (sorry).

Might be bias. But it's gotta be AFL. League has got to be one of the most boring games going round. Rather tune in to the Autralian Open Lawn Bowls Comp.
