Default Child Restraint Anchor Points

Hi, I might be getting away with getting another classic as a second vehicle when the main one is being used.
I'm hoping to be allowed to get a cortina station wagon so I can pack the kids in it.
Now child restraint anchor points, when on earth did they come out? does any cortina models have them and if not what do you do to put them in ie some creative brackets or creative welding or does it need to be done by a verified guy and go through some inspection?
How much does it usually cost if it does need to go through an expert, as I know if it's too much my wife will end up making me get a 92 magna wagon or something that lame.

IIRC the first Falcon to have them was XC, so going by that maybe late TE or TF Cortinas would have them. Over to the Corty experts ..........

In N.S.W. they must be fitted by an authorised fitting station.

Hi. The anchors come with instructions for DIY fitment and usually after mid 75 just screw into a captive nut under the rear shelf of sedans and either the floor or roof of hatch backs or wagons. just look for a hole with a plastic plug screwed in to it or a bit of tape covering a hole under the carpet in the load area. some Holdens made just before anchor points became mandatory had the holes drilled but no reinforcing plate or nut welded underneath so fords may be the same.
See here for basic instructions
