Default I hereby declare war on altezza!!

Who here will march with me against those aweful looking altezza lights made for fords and holdens.

Firstly I was silly enough once to actually try one on my car, i had three different lights on it and none of them worked, the standard lights worked perfectly. They are always shonky ebay operators who sell them..

Also I try and look at them from another angle to try and like them but they are but they are just aweful. Its like the song "i didnt like you even when i tried to".

Lets mark this day as declaration of war on altezza lights

Id rather go baaaa than have the altezzas on. I compare a set of altezzas to an ungly chick flashing her boobs. You sort of grit your teeth, wish you hadnt seen them and moan..... (I didnt order the flapjacks)

Hu...............As a matter of fact my Walbro is doing just fine in my 300rwkw XR6T, and the good thing about my car is it doesn't have Altezzas.

Im not trying to be smart, I wasnt sure. I recently upgraded my T, I asked for a Walbro and they said not to get one, but a Bosch pump in series to the stocker?? They said the Walbro will leave you stranded. I asked the question because it cost be double the walbro and i wasnt sure if it was for nothing

Depends on the car. I think the BA ones look horrendous!

Really they look best on the small jap cars that started the trend. All I can say is I'm not getting any for my car but each to their own.

In chrome they look horrible, but in black they look better IMO. The altezza's for pre AU utes look shocking too in chrome- but in black-not to bad.

They can actually look alright on the right application - has to be the right colour (black, silver, white) otherwise they look terrible on most others.

I know how they started. Someone put a set of monaro lights on a regular commodore. Then altezza made a cheap copy of these lights and a few commodore owners took the bait.

Then they expanded to AU fords and BA fords.

I saw a brand new typhoon the other day, just drobve out of the yard, someone put altezzas on it. I thought did ford change their lights, they look horrible. I looked at other new ones and with a sigh of releif i realised they hadnt caught the virus.

I've got one worse. I drove past a Cobra (perhaps mockup, but it did have the badges) I slowed down as i approached to get a good look. As I passed by I saw the altezzas.... Why God?....Why :

My opinion on the altezzas is that the car has to be designed with them in mind, hence why only jap cars look even remotely good with them on (imo)

p.s i hate that rice crap!!!

I think my Altezzas will match my 20" rims, you have to keep with the theme........... this is going to be good :
