Looking at installing adjustable coil over kits to mk2 struts. Does any one know the spring rates for the std Mk2 Aust spec rs2000 springs.

Spring rates will vary for rallying on what inserts & what you are using the car for = gravel / tarmac
Works style struts used Bilsteins with 140lb springs for gravel.....I use std springs with a Davis strut which so no real answer but there is no straight one |

thanks.
I'm guessing 140lb is in the ball park. Havent found the std rs springs (12.5mm and 4 3/4 coils) too bad for the club dirt events (mx, kx, ax & rsprints). More interesed in the adjustability gains the 2 1/4 conversion allows. With so many spring rates available in the 2 1/4 range its hard to choose parity I'll take a std RS spring out and get it rated if the forum has no answers. Are your springs the 2 1/4 coilovers, do they limit travel ie/ at std height do you reach coil bind before the bump stop.. |
