Default BOSS 302 at FORDS engineering Department

Driving past the engineering department behind the engine plant today in Geelong today out of the car park drives a blue BOSS 302 with all the stickers on the back "LEFT HAND DRIVE" and all that and it drove in the the Truck entrance where the B-triple are parked. Just thought i'd let everyone know it's about.. Sorry no photos was driving truck at time...

They have various cars for evaluation all the time. But, it's a pretty nice one to evaluate. Could lead to all sorts of speculation too!

Still think there is a great possibility of the merger between Falcon/Mustang on the subsystems at the least.

Its been around for a while now that car... They also have a few other US cars.

XR8 is gone.... Maybe Mustang is coming, especially if they build a RHD for the UK market.

Sounds seriously tough too. I wish our noise regs were as loose as they are in the US. They also have a red Mustang GT too.

It is just the best Ford you can buy at the moment.

But in saying that, yes they bring cars over but not for fun. Now which system are they looking at is the question.

If that engine made it into an XR8 I would have a heart attack, twice, be revived and then would be putting money down on it that arvo...I love that engine!

And while I am dreaming the Raptor come down so FPV can make a decent version of the Ranger

If they offered a Mustang here, at something even close to resembling a resonable price, I'd have bought one in a heart beat.

What kills me is that our US cousins can drive around a brand new Mustang with options for about $40K.... but we have to fork out double that.

They've continued the long standing tradition of a base model Mustang being available for down around $22,000...who wouldn't buy one and then later on throw the good stuff on it?
Remembering that our dollar is worth more than a US buck at the moment, and probably will be for some time, they'd walk out the showrooms in droves here...of course there is the little problem of it being LHD only...

I wish the one Ford policy applied to the Mustang. If they sold them at 40-50k here they'd walk out the door.

Would love to see it sold here, but there is no chance. It would be for evaluation only, hopefully engineering as a platform share with Falcon.

IF they could engineer a proper RHD switch for say 30 mill, it would still add 10-20k per vehicle at least. The only chance is if they sell it globally as RHD.

I dont see this engine ending up in the XR8 if it was ever made either. The basic coyote would be it.

We have two LHD cars at work from our Chinese parent company for engineering evaluation. The RTA makes us jump through many many hoops to maintain their 'engineering evaluation' registration. They have to have notices stuck to the dash and everything.
