Default Gawd l love that!!!!

this'll essentially be a thread about all the things you love to enjoy in life, whether your wife, sister or friend gives birth right down to a weekly ritual you may enjoy! for me its a nice bagel from the brisbane markets each wednesday for lunch or going to visit my family on the weekend, please do share it here, this'll essentially be the opposite of "Geez, I hate That!" thread.

Enjoy!

The smell of a summer tropical rain.
The feeling you get just before you are about to go on a holiday.
The feeling you get just after you done a significant mod to your car.
About to chow down on your absolute favourite meal with your best friends and family
The smell of cooking a BBQ
Going for a bike ride and not thinking about anything else in life

Rain on a shed roof when lying in bed at night.

I'll echo the thoughts of Vincenzo.

I was a "bad lad" with a blue collar and met a chick that I was punching way above my weight.

I have two of the most pretty/smart daughters (IMO) that I'm so proud of. I never wanted kids, but when you play around with girls, stuff happens!

They're smart and educated, loved school/university. So far in contrast to me.

Yeah, it's all good. Just hope their life's choices keep it that way.

Cheers!

Walking onto a jetty or beach where there is some numpty who thinks he can fish but is getting nothing. Then bagging out in short order... "see ya mate, have a nice day. "

A guy threw $1000 worth of fishing gear off a jetty in frustration, and stormed off, one day after me and a mate did exactly that. That was a great day, an esky full of whiting and squid, a couple of Penn SS's and graphite rods to suit plus a tackle box full of quality gear. Geez, I loved that.

Making my little girl giggle. She just turned 1.

Driving-wise, there's nothing more satisfying than going past some jerkoff who had been zig-zagging and tailgating their way through traffic and has become stopped behind someone turning off, and I simply glide by having sensibly gone with the flow.

When I have a job to do and visualise what needs to be done, get the right tools and parts together and get the job done in double quick time because everything goes smoothly and exactly the way I visualised it, with no hitches or unexpected problems. Like a front wheel bearing change in under 20 minutes from lifting the wheel off the ground to dropping it off the jack or a rear spring change on my Fairlane in under half an hour, both sides, start to finish.....Ya gotta' love that.

It the simple stuff that adds up.

That feeling about 6.30pm on a Friday knowing you have a whole weekend ahead

An unexpected "I love you" from my daughter

Going to the tool box and picking the correct sized socket first time.

Playing the Alan Parsons Project or ELO on the stereo in my '82 Celica (in the factory cassette player preferably which still sits under the modern single DIN Alpine head unit above it).
All of a sudden it's 1982 in there and I'm seventeen all over again...

Or just sitting in our WB ute in the driveay and listening to that sweet little worked 253 lumpily idling away through the free flowing twin system...while the guy down the road who owns a Prius undoubtedly wrings his hands and cries...

What's the chances of snow in the vic high country in June?

Looking at taking a drive for a couple of weeks down the murray through to Lakes entrance and to the prom.

Just depends mate, we usually get a decent fall in may and then the last two weeks in June is a 50/50 chance. Really anywhere from mid May there is high chance of snow at any time. If the snow storm is followed by rain though it will get washed away pretty quick as the temps aren't cold enough at that time of year to keep snowing. The below was the last week in may 2013 at Perisher a month before the lifts opened, we got a 60cm dump of snow.

Jumping off the roof of the perisher resort, probably wont get this chance again

fordomatic - you lucky SOB. If I lived as close to the alps as you I would be taking advantage as well. I was actually planning to do Queenstown at first but the friends Im going with couldnt stretch the budget that far, so we opted for the home alps instead. Got a nice house in Dinner Plain too. Booking the sled dogs while Im there.
