Default Where have you been to-Overseas ?

Ok while on the subject of (where have you been in Australia) i thought i'd start up a topic of where have you been overseas.
I myself have been pretty fortunate as a young kid to have travelled the continents a bit mainly Europe and Asia but have never been to the USA or Great Britain.
Been and lived in Switzerland got brought up there and lived in Hong Kong ( 1 year) also been to Italy, through the Suez Canal Saudi Arabia,India,Singapore,Ceylon and good old Tasmania.
Cheers John

Serbia. Does it count that we had to stop off in Singapore and Zurich, Switzerland to change planes along the way? (Never left the airport at either place).

USA, Singapore, Malaysia. My brother is bugging me to go to the UK at the end of this year (but he's been bugging me for the past five years!). I'll have hit New Zealand and some islands in the Pacific in about two weeks time.

if any one goes there i recommend no luggage, and a skin tight 2 piece wetsiut that deeply creeps into all body oifices . and make sure it is 2 sizes too small. even then 50/50 nutso.

I've also had the pleasure of being to many countries whilst I was young, however it's unfortunate at that age you can not fully enjoy the experience.

Of the ones I can remember, I've been to: England, Belgium, Germany, Italy, France, Austria, Switzerland, Fiji, Vanuatu, Indonesia, Singapore, Thailand, Hong Kong, Macau, New Zealand.

Currently studying in Shanghai, China.

GTFPV: yeah, i know what you mean! I was just in Singapore, and before you go through customs you sign the customs form, which in big letter says, "DEATH TO DRUG TRAFFICKERS" and after Shapelle, well who knows what could happen?! It could happen to me even! didnt though :-) Its enough to scare you into not stopping.

Also I was very annoyed the other week when i went to Canada, cos we had to stop at Hawaii for fuel(which is ok) but the Americans made us all get off and go through their customs!!!! We all had to give our FINGERPRINTS and they took PHOTOS of us!!! i before this heard that was the case in the US and was a reason for me to never go there again, (i hate this style of big brother). It sucked cos we were just passing past.

Have travelled a fair bit around Australia and overseas.

Germany (Stuttgart, Munich and Berlin mainly, before the wall came down), France, Switzerland, Italy, Middle East, Malaysia, Hawaii.

Would never go to Bali or that region.

Would like to go to Africa, Egypt, the middle east again, the UK and also see some of the Scandinavian countries as well.

Next overseas trip will probably be Jordan, to see Eamon's grandfather.

I've been two Japan twice in the past 4 weeks, likely to be going back in July.
I was in USA last year for 4 - 5 weeks, spending 1 weeks in Denver, Colorado; then 3 - 4 weeks in San Diego, California - lovely place both of them.

Back in start of 2002 I travelled to San Francisco for 1 week (business trip), spending 28 hours in economy vs 32 hours in the training course wasn't a lot of fun.

Back in 1999/2000 I was in Europe, London for 2 weeks, 1 week in Amsterdam, 2 days in Dusseldorf (spelling?) and then back to London for another week.

I'm likely to be going to the USA sometime this year, Japan at least once more, Singapore is also likely.

It is quite possible that next year we will line up for Hong Kong, Thailand, mainland China and possibly Singapore again. This is all work travel so at least its Business Class travel. Shame is that I don't have the time to take my own leave and enjoy the place.
