Default What Spark Plugs Do You Use?

What spark plugs are every one using these days? And why?

What to change mine but is there a real difference? I have been using ngk's for years. Why I have never had a problem with them.

Been using the standard NGK plugs in all my cars, havent had a problem with them.

For the particular car manufacturer I work for they used to use Champion from factory, by the time the service interval for the plug was due they were in an awful state, the head office has told all dealerships to use NGK's as the replacement and I can say they look nearly the same as they were when they went in when they come out

motorcraft denso iridiums(~$15 each), i did notice a small increases in power, fuel economy and "smoothness". there also said to last for 100,000km

if u dont want to spend much, just get the std motorcraft denso's. the cheapest and IMO the best.

I use NGK-R. XR6 plugs.
Never let me down.

I once used some bosch plugs, and i wasn't really impressed. The car seemed less responsive overall, and they didn't seem to last as long.

Autolights, i have also used Splitfire, and NGK, and Champion.
All worked fine, but with my Cam and Headers the Autolights work very nicely.

I have used Autolites, NGK-R and denso iridiums. The Autolites and NGK-R worked just as well but the iridiums made the car less responsive.

Ive used

Champion
NGK
Bosch
and Motorcraft

and ive found the NGK ones to be the best. Im currently running NGK Xr6 spec plugs.
Dont bother with champion especially the cheap ones

standard NGK's, got them replaced when the vehicle was tuned. Work ok, definatley not my case for massive fuel consumption.

NGK's for me - although i dont really care.

I am with injected250 - I dont believe it makes any real difference as long as whatever plugs you have in there are gapped and are in good nick.

I put this issue in the same category as "which air filter is better" - lol

If I was racing my car I might think differently.

I got some standard bosch ones put in, seemed to have gained a little better engine response than before (only cause the spark plugs in there were probably older than me) but do you reckon I should switch to high quality NGK ones?

Even if it gives me a little better response I'd consider it.

Autolites... seemed smoother and more responsive than the NGKs i took out, but done shitloads of mods since then so nothing to compare with the car as-is..

XR plugs are a different temperature rating. I dont think it has anything to do with performance, but if you use the wrong plug they wont last as long.

Yes, they are one heat range down from standard.

Unless the car is on gas, or has higher compression, then they will foul up quicker...

NGK V-Groove plugs in my car, I bought a set after I got the car along with new leads, to find it had a fairly new set already in it, teach me not to look first.
