I'm in the same situation - what (besides koni/bilstein $$$) are the best shocks?

well Ive been told that EL XR are pretty much the best factory shocks for us. After market it just depends on how much you want to spend.

All I know is my car isnt a race car so I dont need Koni's or Billsteins as it will not really be worth the $$$ in my case being that its mainly daily driven I was thinking of either Monroe GT's or KYB's in Lowered style

$70..maybe for one.
I wouldn't get pedders, they are just monroes. (or the other way around).

And JJM, $70 for all 4? unless they were "off a truck" I think $70 each would be cheap

Monroe GT Gas on my lowered EL. Pretty happy with them, they are firm but still give a nice not harsh ride.

I've got monroe gt gas, and they are a good ride. They take the shock and even out very quickly after impact.

ive got kyb's atm and i dunno weather its my driving... although im pretty sure it isnt but im not all that impressed all tho they feel alright and dont seem too soft or too hard they just bottom out way too much for only a low setup. When other cars same height with tickford suspension or others that are even lower with superlows but have more expensive shock dont really bottom out as much as mine. I dunno maybe they are too spongy but it seems way too easy to bottom them out...they werent this bad orginally and are only like 7 months old maybe they just wear out too easily and since everyone has king springs and they seem to be alright i dont think its them... so my next choice will not be kyb.. i could be wrong but thats just my experience.

hey mate i have the same probs with my kyb's. there just S*** in my opinion. i paid about 470 for a full set, biggest waste of money. not happy at all. they are very spongey and are still a full stroke shock, they dont make short stroke for ea-el, if they did they would be better.

Ehab p.s if anyone wants to buy a full set of kyb's that have only been used for 5months let me know, you name a price.
