Well yesterday was a sad day. Long story short I sold me first car to a mates brother who ended up damaging the car, he lost interest and then it just sat in a car park for a while.
So my mate and I decided enough was enough, it was time for it tolay to rest. Before During After It was a little sad, but hey all good things come to an end. Anyone else been attached to their first car even though you sold it a good 14 months ago? : So we have a heap of parts that will be in the market place once I upload all the photo's. If anyone wants anything just wait for the threads. There is still alot of stuff in the car (central locking, complete engine, electric windows) that we CBF getting out.

Yep, ive still got an attachment to my first car. I feel good cause i still see it driving around, it looks good and now has a CB radio. Then again with the fortune spent on it the damn thing will probably run forever.
Sad to see your old car to go to waste though in such a short period of time, it looked like a clean e-series.

I'm on my third car. My first car is parked in the driveway right now as is my second car. My brother bought my first car (the EA) and my Mum bought my second car (the VS). I don't have to go far for a trip down memory lane...

My first car is still in Mum's backyard, returning to the Earth. 11-12 years after I parked it there. I'll get it running again one day Mum, honest...

Never really cared much about any of my cars (there have been lots) till my first XR6 (EF)....... wish I still saw her around but then prefer not to know if she hasn't been looked after..
That is such a shame for you to see your old car like that....... :( |

I still have my first car, but when I pranged it about a week after getting it, I got a second Ghia for spare parts. This one was a series 1 EA with 300,000 on it, bought for $1200 (while mine was a series 2 with 150,000 on it). Anyway, my uncle repaired my car but decided that the series 1 was too good to wreck, so we gave it a general tidyup and sold it for $3500. Good profit there! Anyway, ages later, the bloke who bought it was murdered. The car was on the news and everything! Now I'd really like to know what happened to that car, as he was really happy with it before he died.

Hmmm...My 1st car was a 1972 corona bought for 15 dollars.peice of crap...definately didnt get attached!
cars i DID get attached to though was my fairlane collection (two marquis and a zg 302) then when i went ricey(nissan silvia with veiside bodykit ,turbo sr20) an xc fairmont coupe 302,an xe esp 351(sold for 6 grand so i could go to europe!) I can honestly count 41 cars Ive owned since i was 14 and maybe 6 or 7 were special. Moral of story ...stick to a good one ...leave bunkys well alone..oh...and never...i mean NEVER try do a project on a bunky!lol sorry about your ol car polyal but youve moved on now.

My first car was an 87 XF S Pac, 4spd Manual!!! learnt to drive in it, bought it really cheap and it was one of the best xfs i saw around, had it for 6 months after i got my licence and the head gasket blew, didnt see the value in spending the money to fix it, so we sold it to a guy who was gonna do the job himself, havent seen the car since, i still love those cars today and i miss havin a manual. Bought 94 ED fairmont a year ago for $4700 and still goin good........ anyway yeh i guess i do miss the first car but i plan to have an xe/xf with a v8 in it on the side one day in the future for a weekend cruiser for old memories............
