Those kays are small dude.. These engines are bullet proof. And anyway, even if the engine was ****ed, spend $8k on the car to buy it, then another $10k on then engine and whatever else needed attention!

I don't know if it's a series 2 or not though, although i've emailed the seller asking them if it is..

Only time will tell..

Ok, well that atleast keeps the value up on mine..

Anyway, it's better than it's not a series 2, because imagine the potential for this car!

Offer them $7500, and spend the rest on engine work (read: trickflow racing kit with maf and injectors to suit $6k) and a decent set of wheels ($2k) and minor touch ups here and there, and you still get away with it cheaper than buying a good condition series 2..

yeah well it is really cheap for what it is... when i was looking at cars most of the el xr8s seemed at least closer to 14-15ish.. i think i even saw one for 18. i sure wouldn't mind a manual el xr8 would be a nice car to drive.

That's a pretty cheap XR, looks to be in good nick too and it's MANUAL. I doubt you'd get it for 7500, but who knows..

How much is a good condition series 2 worth these days?

I dont know if I would be comfortable buying a sub par car then spending thousands on it making it faster
