Ricers: Hoping the outrageous body kit will distract anyone from discussing et's

Hotrodders: Sideways into third gear
Ricers: Sideways to avoid high-centering on a speed bump

Hotrodders: Tall spindle conversion for better camber gain and tire wear
Ricers: Lowering 3 inches and ruining tires with 4-degrees of negative camber

Hotrodders: 600 HP on 92-octane pump gas
Ricers: 300 HP on $4-a-gallon 100-octane race gas

Hotrodders: Swapping stock 14 inch wheels for 17s to clear trick brakes and suspension
Ricers: Swapping stock 14 inch wheels for 20's despite stock brakes and suspension

Hotrodders: Boost gauge on a blown car, nitrous gauge on a squeezed car
Ricers: Both gauges on a normally aspirated car

Hotrodders: 500 lb-ft of torque at 3500 rpm
Ricers: 50 lb-ft of torque at 35,000 rpm

Hotrodders: Headers and 3-inch exhaust
Ricers: Stock pea-shooter exhaust pipe with 5-inch tip

Hotrodders: 600 HP makes for an earth-shaking street car
Ricers: 600 watts per channel makes for an ear-shattering street car

Hotrodders: Buying an aftermarket shifter for shorter throws
Ricers: Buying an aftermarket shifter for the lighted knob

Hotrodders: Composite parts for light weight and aerodynamics
Ricers: Composite-veneer dash trim and gauges

Hotrodders: Upgrading to a 9-inch cuz you keep breaking stock rears
Ricers: Realizing that your built motor will keep breaking half-shafts forever

Hotrodders: Functional air ducts to cool the big-block
Ricers: Six different cosmetic air dams in random locations

Hotrodders: Polishing tail-light lenses to bring out the red color
Ricers: Installing clear tail-lights to bait cops

Ricers: Japanese "Honda" lettering on the rear window of a Nissan

Hotrodders: Tach mounted on the dash in the drivers line of sight
Ricers: Bobbing-head doll mounted on the dash in the drivers line of sight

Hotrodders: Nitrous oxide
Ricers: "Noss"

Hotrodders: Installing a 12-point cage after breaking into the 11's
Ricers: Installing a 12-point cage for more places to mount gauges

Hotrodders: Feeling the car shake form a lumpy cam
Ricers: Feeling the car shake from booming bass

Hotrodders: Doing a short burnout to warm the tires before a pass
Ricers: Weaving from side to side cuz nascar racers do it

Hotrodders: Comfy stock buckets on a 9-second street car
Ricers: back-breaking fiberglass racing buckets on a 17-second street car

Hotrodders: Spending $2000 to get a new Z28 into the 11's
Ricers: Spending $12,000 to get a Civic into the 12's

Hotrodders: Showing off a 500 HP dyno sheet
Ricers: Boasting that their 150 HP mill makes more HP/liter

Hotrodders: Installing subframe connectors to stiffen the chassis
Ricers: Connecting the subframes with neon lights

Hotrodders: Throttle steer
Ricers: Torque steer

Hotrodders: Leaving on the third amber light at the strip
Ricers: Blowing through red lights on the street

Hotrodders: Turning a $2000 "fixer upper" into a 10 second car
Ricers: Spending $20k on a car then another $20k on mods only to turn it into a 10 second car

You know the sad thing, the extra $20K probably wouldn't see it anywhere near the 10sec mark...

Mate, you would have to disguise yourself in makeup and dress if in your world a WRX front bar is as good as owning a WRX.

I guess its cheaper than a WRX

lol thats all quite true actually.

God I hate ricers, not really the cars but the tools that drive them.

Had some tosser in a stock Hyundai Accent try and give our worked VL V8 Calais a run the day we got it.

There are some very tastefull Japanese cars I would love to have but what I hate is the morons who think their stock Pulsar with spinners, 5 inch exhaust and 10 gauges can beat worked V8s.

It's just as funny as some people with V8s reckon they can flog everything. I see many V8 owners get their ИИИИ handed to them by imports. Just remember there are cars which are blinged up to hell but are still fast.

Ah but ricers nearly always win the "longest distance travelled on a litre of petrol" competition.......

By all means bag ricers but not all four cylinder FWDs are slow (and I hate how Honda's name is dragged through the mud by them).

Yeah, actually I dont mind Honda they make some pretty decent cars and they do hold the record for most powerful production NA 4 cylinder in the world.
Honda S2000 makes 250hp from a 2.0 litre 4cyl. Pretty impressive stuff.

Only problem is all these ricer fanboys destroying their image.

Ricers: Both gauges on a normally aspirated car

I saw an old stock civic last week that had about 6 or 7 gauges all different colours in it, thought that was a crack up till i saw the scissor doors..
Its just one of those things you wish you had a camera for.

Funny read .
Can I ask a stupid question why is it that you all seem to hate rice or boyracer cars .
Is it the cars themselfs or the people that usauly own them .
One thing I will say about boyracer cars is that a 10sec boyracer is better behaved on the street than a 10 sec muscle car and a 10sec boyracer can be used every day .
I guess I have trouble with bagging boyracer cars because I like all loved cars and My age sits right in between both muscle and boyracer .
Still good read like to see the other side to

I love boyracer cars more than domestics.
These include S2000, WRX, Evo, 3000GT, Supra, Skyline, FTO, RX7, VR-4, 240sx, 200sx, 300zx, etc.
However I hate standard lancers, mazdas, basically any standard 4 banger thats all show and no go.

Fair enough .
I have found that alot of people right them off and was just wondering if it was in friendy rivalry or plain and simply because people just hate them .
