Default Humans revenge!

who would have thought getting rid of a spider on your car was such hard work.

Firstly, - he doesn't pay rego or insurance, and he don't ride on the front seat so my guess is he's uninvited!

Secondly - he doesn't leave when asked nicely. In my opinion, thats being uncooperative.

Thirdly - when the polite (wisk with the hand) method of removal doesn't work he goes in between the tray and the cab to live.

and last of all - when I've had the car in the shed with the window down all night, I DO NOT (repeat) DO NOT like getting up in the morning to find baby spiders all over my car.

Needless to say - on my morning off with my wife and kids, the first few hours of the day were spent irradicating said spider and it's freeloading family off my car and into the depths of the the dead plain.....

I'd also like to say to all the bees and butterflys:

MY CAR IS NOT A FLOWER - SO BUGGER OFF!!!

here endith todays rant..... :

That bastard in my mirror STILL BLOODY LIVES!

I emptied a can of brake cleaner in there, the next week there's a bloody web all over the thing. I just emptied a can of upper engine cleaner in there, that should do the trick.

It must be an EB thing with spiders behind the mirrors. I've tried high pressure hosing him out, I've tried every fly spray and surface spray that you can buy legally.

These ghetto spiders are tough little buggers. Maybe some carby cleaner and degreaser will convince him to move out.

I might try a stern talking to first. :

Nah it's not just a Ford thing, my rolla has a spider in each side mirror

One night the mum-in-law was driving home late from work when a huge huntsman crawled up the outside of her windscreen. She put on the wipers and it fell into the engine bay... paranoid, she stopped at the next servo and bought a can of fly spray, gingerly opened the bonnet and proceeded to empty the entire can all over the engine lol

Oh that reminds me of a funny story... her starter motor was being fussy and would sometimes not work, so hubby showed her how to bash said motor with the end of her club lock until she could get the car to a mechanic. The next day she was pulled over by a cop for speeding...

He gives her the ticket and walks off, only to see this mad woman get out of her car with a club lock, go under the bonnet and bash her car up for speeding on her lmao

That mortein 6 month surface spray is the ticket. Because it can get wet and still work more than anything. I also spray the area above my seat and sunvisor with it too.

I had a spider living in my mirror for a while. I tryed everything until one night I went out with a torch and a can of insect spray and caught the bugger red handed spinning webs. No more webs on my car the night after that!

its a little known fact but every new ford comes with a complimentry FACTORY SPIDER. some spiders are 'limited edition' (only so many are bred for that series) and by killing the spider you are infact DECREASING the resale value of your car.
get in touch with ford and they will send you a free booklet on how to care for your spider and keep him/her healthy. for a few extra $$ you can also get your spider a mate which therefore INCREASES your resale value when you upgrade. purchasers look kindly on proven 'FAMILY CARS'.
also if you kill off your 'first class factory backed' spider, you will leave yourself open to having a 'second class Ghetto' spider (huntsman) take over your car.
hope this helps some!.

And remember that aftermarket spiders may void your warranty....especially in conjunction with when they're used in ways the manufacturer didn't intend them to be used.
