Bit like the hoons out this way, except he didnt run into the gutter.

Cant really see the fun in it, especially if you have to pay for the tyres.

I thought he was better than that.

Can't argue with that. HSV understand their target market.

Obviously I wasnt targetted.

Thrashing a car like that especially when just started up doesn't impress me. Who would want to buy that car afterwards?

Relax a little. Your trying to apply logic and reason where it's not required...It's many a HSV/FPV owners fantasy.Your in a HSV owned high powered V8 toy that you're being paid by them to demonstrate how to push it to the limits while having some tyre smoking fun in the process. I'd probably never treat my own car like that but if FPV paid me to drive like that in one of theirs, I wouldn't be arguing with them!

By the way your assuming that car was cold. I highly doubt that. The LS1's particularly need to be at full thottle before they sound good.

If it was a ford driver, you would have nothing but praise. I'm sure cars are treated worst than that. The ones you never see the video of. Ford and Holden

I saw this about 3 years ago at the Sydney International Motorshow. Looks like fun

Holden bashing becomes a tired arguement after 10,000 times.

Yeah, OK, I didnt say I wasnt impressed with his circle work though, seeing it wasn't his car, and isnt likely to become mine either. How he kept it going along that white line was good.

I thought he was running off the road though at one stage, by his voice. A bit got edited out there. Thinking again, the start must've also been edited a bit as well, giving the impression I initially had (that he revved it too quick after startup).

The only problem is that it encourages the local hoons to go around the streets in the middle of the night trying to emulate him. But they keep running into the gutters!!

Very very true.

FPV's campaign for targeting buyers is

*lets put a hat on the parcel shelf and drive at 85kmh on the highway.*

"Its ok Ethel with 550Nm of torque we have enough to overtake a B double in 3sec, but never mind that rubbish, thats not the FPV way."

"Lets stop in for some scones and tea at the next stop Norm."

*FPV, evey car comes with a skirt for the driver and a tartan rug for the rear parcelshelf*

FPV = no clue as to marketing.

Spot on and it all started with the T Series when Tickford said we are not out to compete in a numbers game. Well wake up FPV/Tickford, your customers want this!!!

I see FPV's new sound bytes are in:

"All my life I have dreamt of a car with 550nm of torque - so that i need never use it"

"It came with a free track day - hope I never have to do that again!"

"0 - 100km/hr in under 6 seconds. But you had better not"

"FPV - Performance vehicles, ready for the track*"

*track use voids all warranties.

"FPV - runner up and loving it!"

Maybe someone at FPV could see that video...
They might understand what "performance" driving is.

Haha and they might put more effort into their servicing and warranty claims!

Body Roll? Under steer? My friend you have never driven a HSV. Try putting your own car into sharp corners at over 150kph, and the camera guy inside leaning all over the shot doesn't help.

That really is an awesome Vid, and you were right about getting great just after the 3/4. Love the part where he flings it around backwards then lights them up again going forwards, go the LS1.
