Question EB GT Boot

Anyone got any pics or photos og the interior of an EB GT? i heard the boot cover isn't the jelly type of one so i want to see what the leather one looks like on it before i buy it.

its $30 of ebay, if anyone has one they want to get rid of for a cheaper price pm me!

i bought one off ebay for my manual conversion. they look great but unless you get a shortened gear stick its going to sag down and leave a gap between the top of the boot and the gear knob. other than that i recommend them to all eseries owners stuck with the ghetto looking 90s boot.

I put mine in this week, got it for $21.50 on ebay,
I dunno how to put a photo in this (its too big to just upload), but it doesn't slump down.
The top section of the neck on the boot is folded down inside it, and pushes against the thicker section of the stick (i think its actually on the rubber sound proofing but can't tell). This pushes the top section up against the shifter knob (i have bf fpv knob so it has that little flanged bit under the actual knob to push against)
Overall i'm stoaked with the way it looks, especially since I almost paid $50 for a dodgy looking Autobarn boot a few months ago!

i bought a BPT shortened stick through AWC. its perfect. the top of the gear knob is pretty much in line with the centre console lid. so you can rest you arm on the console and your hand is at the perfect height to shift.

at the motor trimmers i worked for, we did a run of gear boots for the 'r31 skyline club' we did 30 at a time so they ended up being about 20 dollars each. Real black leather, with whatever colour stitching you like.

Maybe the e-series should organize a bulk buy leather gear boot jigga ????

I prefer the ghetto style myself as the console doesn't really go with the GT boot.

That would be great, how much did the shortened stick cost from AWC, and did that come with the boot and surrounds also?
Cheers

if you pop the plastic part of the surround up and out of the centre console [after removing the knob first] the boot is attached underneath by just 4 guide pieces of plastic. you pull the old one off and push the new one on, simple. and i'll run down to the carpark now and get some pics with the work camera woo.

Surely there is someone in Victoria that stocks the shortened gear stick instead of getting it posted from WA. It will probably be $100+ by the time it is in your hot lil hands!

with a B&M ripper shifter the rubber gearboot pulls the stick out of gear because it's so short

i just bought an EB GT boot from the states... no more hole in the center console woo!
