Im running a grind very similar to the 1604 wade in my Eb . I have an au motor in mine so the grind is a 1388c-1590-c with .4824 lift on intake and .477 exhaust with a phase of 115....... It HAs GREAT idle, with improved power all through rev range.. Very mildish cam. You wont have stalling problems or any other issues u get with the 1004-110-112

I probably will be able to get my hands on a 1004 @ 112 pretty cheap - second hand..
in regards to the oomph factor, which cam would be a better choice? the 1604 @ 113 or the 1004 @ 112.. I know the idle would be worse with the 1004 but ive seen a car running it and i can live with it. does anyone have any compartative figures power-wise of these two cams? anyone got these cams installed with similar specs to my car? anyone know the kind of gains i could expect in RWKW with either of these cams? any feedback would be appreciated.. cause i dont have much experience in this area.. ps: its an auto.. why couldn't i find a manual fairmont? hehehe pps: ill be staying away from grenade stickers.... Cheers |

If its an auto I would get the 1604. Auto cars that dont idle overly well are no fun at all. This is comming from somone who has had a 1004/110 and a 1521a in an auto.
