Default Replica ED Xr Twin Headlights Trial.

I have cast a mould of originall glass front of a stock ea eb glass light covered in casting plaster ,I used my dogs food can as a cast to replicate the 10 cm surround to accept lights insert .being (high..or low beam..)
my next project is to show u guys how to do it. : I am afraid to inform u the torch inserts can not stand up to the heat from both lights.
i am replacing the plastic inserts with complete driving lights, i have made a new housing that is to hold lights in place. I have put up new pics below of
this much improved support setup. :monkes:

I will submit photos of this shortly. (as this) as i said . (is only experimental ) I belive i can still use the originall rear housing , globes, etc, & .utilise. (torch) (10cm) inserts to repel beam,.. as the originall insert beam housing is plastic (check yourself) to repel beam the inserts will cover the globes as originall. the beam will be focused out as originall as the housing is unchanged . So there is no need to modify assembelly. the rest is only cosmetic, casting plaster is not what you want to see at momment to who ever wants to see (PICS) i will show my results but give me a chance.

ok, let me get this straight...

You're making casts from the headlights so you can manufacture your own headlights? What will you use? Some kind of resin or plastic?

I think I've completely missed the point :yeees:

The cast mould of glass front will be made from fibreglass (doing now) it will fit over the same location as glass originall, it will screw in to were clips held glass on. the lights( projecta )as i stated are 10 cm torch inserts, if the front covers being plastic (torch fronts) as i fear, wont stand up to the heat i will use glass fronts.I have inserted the 10cm globe covers & the beam throws out no problem, though have to see what it is like once the front cover is in place. I am lending a digital cammera from a friend & will show photos asap.
The answer is no to manufacture my own headlights, all i am saying is if it works out ok then anyone can have a go,all i am doing is trying to make a set of lights for my own car.
