Just a note to say thanks to the people who replied to my threads whilst I was in the States. I think it helped keep me sane.
I certainly wouldn't discourage anyone from visiting there if that is what interests you. San Francisco / San Jose seems no less safe than Sydney or Melbourne and there are some fantastic things to see and do. As some people pointed out California may as well be another country and I would encourage anyone going over there to visit some other parts of the US if possible, my trip was a bit like spending 5 weeks on the Gold Coast in winter, there's a lot more to Australia than that ! We definately live in one of the best places in the world and it's great to be home, hopefully the other training I've got over there won't be 5 weeks long! Thanks and regards, Tote
