Default few questions about 2008 ford focus LT

1. The engine is a Duratec-HE 2.0L. It says on the owner manual put RON 95, and on the service manual it say RON 91. Doesn't have a sticker on the fuel cover. Which one is it?

2. How to get rid of these bubble wrap on the back of the car? Tried looking for some plastic film cannot find it. Not looking hard enough?

3. Any solutions to the weak reverse light? You cannot see anything reversing in the dark!

4. What's this high pitch sound from 3 seconds seconds. What's shutting down?
https://www.youtube.com/shorts/obC62u5CEvY

5. If I accidental stall the engine, it just won't start for the next 2 minutes, its cranks but engine won't start. After 2 minutes it will start again. What's going on?

1. 91 Octane is fine for your car, but it will probably perform a little better on 95 Octane, so it's honestly up to you...

2. The bubbles on your rear window is the aftermarket tint peeling away... Th only way to get rid of the bubbles is to take all of the tint off the window...

3. Do you mean the globe is dim? You can replace the globe for another halogen one, or even go for an LED light which will be brighter...

4. That high pitched whirring sound is the fuel pump, and it's normal for these cars to do this (my Focus XR5T does the same)

5. I'm not sure on this issue but I assume it's a manual... Is there any warning lights on the dash when this happens?

Is this your car or are you looking to buy it? If you're looking to buy it, then I probably wouldn't...

Okay... Sorry I can't really help you on this one... Can anybody else chime in?

One thing though, what voltage is the battery reading?

How about your alternator? You did mention your reverse light is dim... Are any other lights in the exterior and interior dim?

95 RON is the standard fuel in Europe where this car mostly sells. It will run on 91, but I wouldn't. 95 or E10 is the go.

i've had a battery die in a month [possibly less than that?] and no problems with the alt either so saying it's a month old doesn't mean much [i had alt tested as well as the battery]. so did you see/test what voltage you were getting?.

use either 91 or 95 - with 95 being slightly betterer fuel [so i'm told]. leave the E10 alone. but it's up to you what fuel you want touse.

Wouldn't be putting E10 in any car as it can sometimes run like crap, and you're not really saving any money as it wastes more than 91 or Premium fuel

really? any sources to cite? We've been running e10 in all our petrol cars for 20 years now, with no issues.

Seems fine, can crank up the air or heater on idle, no change to brightness to any lights

Depending what spec, for reversing you can use the rear fog-light by double pulling out the light switch dial. Helps me in the LS Focus even if it is red.

Good suggestion. Might get a 3rd party LED light as replacement.
