Wink Review Wife 1.0

Last year a friend of mine upgraded from GirlFriend 1.0 to Wife 1.0 and found that it's a memory hog, leaving very little system resources available for other applications. He is now noticing that Wife 1.0 is also spawning Child Processes which are further consuming valuable resources.

No mention of this particular phenomena was included in the product brochure or the documentation, though other users have informed him that this is to be expected due to the nature of the application. Not only that, Wife 1.0 installs itself such that it is always launched at system initialization, where it can monitor all other system activity.

He's finding that some applications such as PokerNight 10.3, BeerBash 2.5, and PubNight 7.0 are no longer able to run in the system at all, crashing the system when selected (even though they always worked fine before). During installation, Wife 1.0 provides no option as to the installation of undesired Plug-lns such as MotherlnLaw 55.8 and BrotherlnLaw Beta release. Also noted: system performance seems to diminish with each passing day.

Some features he'd like to see in the upcoming wife 2.0.
- - - A "Don't remind me again" button
- - - Minimize button
- - - An install shield feature that allows Wife 2.0 be installed with the option to uninstall at anytime without the loss of cache and other system resources.

I myself decided to avoid the headaches associated with Wife 1.0 by sticking with Girlfriend 2.0. However, all versions of Girlfriend continually pop up little annoying messages about the advantages of upgrading to Wife 1.0.

The upgrade paths from Girlfriend 10.0 to Wife Versions 1.0 have known issues such as continual expensive upgrades and space consumption.

It also should be known that instalation of child 1.0 and 2.0 are costly and are prone to crashing.

Becareful when installing software such as child 1.0 and the inlaws package XP

All I can say is......thank god for Control Alt Delete. Those keys fixed my Wife 1.0 issues completely.
I got the blue page of death temporarily (fatal exception errors), followed by a full re-format and re-partitian on the hard drive.
Now I have installed several variations of willing girlfriends 1.69a and independance day 2.01, and have found out that my re-installed software cannot possibly be Microsoft Invented, as it has never been more stable and functional EVER!!! and has not crashed ONCE!!!

Unfortunately, with With Wife 1.0, if you signed up to the Child 1.0 Upgrade, you can't terminate the subscription to the Service for 18 Years unless you take the developer to court.

I have an issue.

i don't think i have uninstalled girlfriend 1.0 properly. I have gone to the extent to install affair 1.0 and affair 2.0. neither have crashed after 3 months. tho affair 1.0 keeps popping up with update to girlfriend 2.0. I think i have done this but installing these programs in different hard drives.

I was successful in uninstalling affair 2.0. As I was drunk and wasn't user friendly.

However I have found another, thanks to Myfamily V1. upon surfing around, Myfamily V1 found Girlfriend 3.0 and is extremely compatable with MyFamily V1, As prevoius versions have not been compatable.

My Friend has advised me to uninstall everything, but keep MyFamily V1 and use the recommendation that MyFamily V1 uses. The only problem is that Affair 1.0 would keep popping up.

A little help please....

Install the Window blinds software and run Gay 3.0....that should solve Affair 1.0....otherwise you will have to do a full system restore and as friend sujusted only have MyFamily V1.......

Other than that try re-installing Girlfriend 1.0...

re-install Girlfriend 1.0 even tho Girlfriend 3.0 is a cheaper and better version.
do i still need to install Girlfriend 1.0?

well if Girlfriend 3.0 is cheaper and better go for it. but will that get rid of Affair 1.0????? Remember When running Windows Blinds and then running GAY 3.0 it makes the system think that you are running gay 3.0 but you really arent......

its all up to you....can you handle girlfriend 3.0?

As long as you keep your version of Wife up to date you shouldn't have any long term issues with the program

that makes more sense now, thanks. I will install that tonight.

Girlfriend 3.0 is alot more user friendly on the pocket, aswell has functions of washing/cleaning, has user friendly functions for my mates. Tho i think i have to update the pop up menu's to block the update to Wife 1.0. I have heard that Wife 1.0 could also affect the smooth running MyFamily V1.

Ive heard rumors of an underground patch called prenup 1.0 It's not very popular with any of the girlfriend models 1 - 3. But can save you your harddrive and motherboard should wife 1.0 discover affair 1.0. A good example of prenup 1.0 not being used is Sir Paul Mcartney who stands to lose most of his harddrive to divorcee 1.01

Indeed.

Beta testing of divorce 1.01 is showing that, at a minimum, 50% of system resources will not be accessible following its installation.

The resource allocation problem is exaggerated if Wife 1.0 has been installed to a folder which is responsible for the monitoring of all versions of ChildX.0. Such circumstances are resuting in 85% of system resources being unavailable following the installation of divorce 1.01. Following the installation of Divorce1.01, most users are finding benefit in a complete repartition, format and installation in a new (albeit smaller) case.

Developers are working on Bankrupt version 0.9 as a plug in, to assist the user in keeping Creditors1.0 and Bank4.0 from the remaining (scarce) resources for the duration of the reformatting process.

Some users are successfully using Divorce 1.01 to uninstall Wife1.0 with the help of Infidelity2.0, although copies of this program are difficult to find. Some users are reporting 100% available resources following the installation of Divorce1.01 in conjunction with Infidelity2.0 and rare cases of previously unknown resources being made available also exist.

I would imagine Wife 1.0 does not have "get lucky regulalry v69" installed either??

Wife 1.0 is a great program, but it tends to be very high maintenance. Wife 1.0 comes with several support programs, such as Clean and Sweep 3.0, Cook It 1.5 and Do Bills 4.2.

However, be very careful how you use these programs. Improper use will cause the system to launch the program Nag Nag 9.5. Once this happens, the only way to improve the performance of Wife 1.0 is to purchase additional software. I recommend Flowers 2.1 and Diamonds 5.0 !

WARNING!!! DO NOT, under any circumstances, install Secretary With Short Skirt 3.3. This application is not supported by Wife 1.0 and will cause irreversible damage to the operating system.

Wife 1.0 also has a great firewall. No sexual references ever get through. No service packs or hot fixes have been able to solve this problem.

There is also a known bug with Money 9.2, all your savings just disappear!!!

I've also found that Casual 4.5 and 1-off-trophy 3.4 can also make quick use of my wallet - though I can usual use Killtask 2 to stop that.

you will also need to future proof your OS, by saving for Plastic Surgery 1.2, which may also involve a few more version upgrades.

Your hard drive may as well turn into a floppy drive, and become useless after time.

Girlfriend V1.0 does have a patch "get lucky regulary V69" but there is a known issue with most of them requiring the patch alchalol 4.5.......

Im sure if you install Flowers 2.3, dinner 5.2 and long-walks 7.4 they should allow you to install the get lucky v 69 software.& alchahol 4.5....but be wary the software will not last long.....as wife 1.0 has anti-virus software that destroys these programs after a while......

Be wary as you may catch a virus and may distroy your hard ward. be sure to install the add on: FourSeasons 1.0 or Ansell 1.0, as you may be wary, "get lucky regulary V69" may cause the unexpected download Child 1.0, Child 2.0... etc.

I found uninstalling Girlfriend 1.0, then waiting for a week and reinstalling automatically upgrades to Girlfriend 1.1 which includes Get Lucky Regularly v69 for free! The combination of these 2 ensures they will not deteriorate over time, hence performance is at optimum level and system resouces are used efficiently, leaving plenty of space for Ford Tinker 4.0.

ahh But V 69 has a special release that allows the programs Child 1.0 and child 2.0 etc to be disabled...... hence why V69 is widely used......you should only use the Add ons Fourseasons (which in my books is a bit expensive) or the good old supermarket cheap buy program Ansell 1.0......depending on the software Girlfriend 1.0 the software "pill 3.4" is sometimes compatible......

You just need to make sure that Girlfriend 1.0 does not auto update and install child 1.0 and Wife 1.0
