I think Minges Terra was the only one on display... Except for the Prodrive creation.

Anyway, here are some without all the heads !

You obviously didn't see the thread about this a while ago. It was very interesting.

I don't like the look of it either, but I think it would sell ok here if it was marketed like the Rip-Curl Falcon Ute.

That would be the plastic like plastic bumpers, plastic fuel tank, plastic in the dash and door trims, plastic in the engine bay, plastic in the kick panels etc?

Did you know what car introduced all that plastic into cars made in Aust?
(Hint.. ITS PARKED IN YOUR DRIVEWAY!!!!)

close enough.

The XD was the pioneer of the "plastic" Falcon in Aust. They were the original "plastic fantastic"

for sure Ive got an 81 ltd AND an xf,dont like them though, all i could afford at the time but the ltd was a decent foundation to put my running gear in while i sorted it out, while im building up my xw wagon, now that's a car with a heap of chrome and plenty of steal and character, just a bummer they are so prone to rusting, ive got 8k in the body with rust repairs but ill be worth it,will be running built 351w ,Vic jr heads 8.5-1 comp and Paxton blower,c4 and nine inch,my point being, these plastic cars have ZERO character, sure they look good today but in a few years when the plastic starts cracking and fading....
anyway in my opinion these new cars like the falcons and territories are quick fix cars, just wont last

So rust repairs on a metal car are cheaper to fix than cracked plastic - I don't think so.

Minge's car is nice, but don't think it's a turbo is it? (it's so hard to keep up with what he's driving). It just has the ricey scoop on it - looks good though.

I absolutely love that green one.
And as for the colour, it's my most favourite green ever.

So the 1 million new car sales in Aus last year was just a fad that wont last?

How many people to you see trading up their new falcons to get into a state of the art xw?

They did the best with what they had back then, and to a point you're right, that some of the plastic on these cars wont last 30 years. But seriously, how many people buying cars these days still want them in 30 years? Ford would go broke if everyone that bought one kept it for 30 years. Cars are generally built with a 10 - 15 year life span. By then they either get wrecked, or worked on by someone who loves it, like you and your old beast. It would never still be in good nick without some care and maintenance.

I just know i sure as hell dont still wanna be in my BA in 2034 when its 30 years old. At the rate i do km it'd have about 1.8 million km on it, based on 60,000km per year. I know after that amount of km, weather parts be steel plastic or otherwise, there wouldnt be much left that was original.

Buy a 'plastic' BF GTP, leave it in the heated garage for 30 years only to see the light of day 10 times a year, and never to see the rain or even a grey sky, and i reckon it'll last as long as any xw.

exactly, you might like your plastic cars mate just as my 17 year old son does, and your above statement is about the only way you will be seeing one of those in thirty years.

You talk like XW and XY daily drivers are out there in spades... I would be lucky to see one once a month if that.. and its never a daily driver. Most have rusted away to nothingness these days.. must be all that character I guess.

Assumption is the mother of all fewls, but then again when your arrogance is bigger than your keyboard, its no longer an opinion.

As you kindly remind me, not sure why, it is a public forum, take note of your own advice before you post.
