I have a 1989 EA S-pac and it has to go in for aroadworthy cirtificate before I can change the rego over. It is an ultra rare 3.9 that DOESN'T leak oil :P, doesn't blow too much smoke etc, tyres are 3 moths old, it is all good. However, the rear right hand passenger seat belt doesn't retract. It pull out fine, but just won't go back in. Will this be a cause for my car to fail a roadworthy inspection?

Damo, in Vic you have to test that all seat belts draw, retract, don't have frayed edges, lock when pulled and are firm in the buckle. Rear belts included.
I'm guessing the ACT will be the same. |

ahh fair enough. My mums old Galant passed a recent roadworthy, and the seatbelts in that were pretty dodgey, ciggy burns, frayed, and the middle one was difficult to plug in.
Just fix it Selekta, can't be that hard. |

Yeah, just go grab one from a wreckers. But make sure you check it before you get it, you can't pull them out unless they are mounted in the car.

I'd get the inspection done; If they pick it up, get it fixed ASAP; if they dont, fix it at your lesiure. A number of ACT inspectors are not that thorough...

Short answer, yes, it is a roadworthy item. Anything wrong with any of your seatbelts you'll fail. However, many don't even bother to look. Get it roadworthied, and if they pick it up, I'd fix it then.

Seatbelt is fixed. It's one thing after another. *sigh*
When the car stops, it drops about 200ml's of coolant...no more, no less...will this be a cause for concern? |

Where is the coolant coming from? Engine? Radiator?

What if you don't top it up?
Does it still drop the 200ml on the next trip??
