Gotta love the person who asked if it was a "Repairable writeoff or Stat write off"

Looks like a bargain, I'd turn it into a dirt demon and take it to the thunderdome!

Nowadays, you have to lodge a vehicle as a Statutory Write Off in QLD to claim insurance. This means that the vehicle may never be re registered. Stops bodgo mechanics and panel beaters patching a car up and selling it to an unsuspecting purchaser.
A mate purchased a XR6T for $9000 and rebuilt it. I drove it and it is a sweet ride. Says it owes him, parts and labour, $22000. It had 14000k on it and was 7 months old.
