AFL games have the highest attendance of a weekly competition in Australia. Memberships are also healthy, especially the non-Victorian clubs.
Although I've generally not been a rugby fan, I can still watch it and don't mind it. Where AFL has become almost over professional in terms of commentary, rugby has that "local" feel to it. I also think Don Scott (former Hawthorn captain -1976 and 1978 premierships) is a ********. |
