hey. thought id throw up a couple of pics of my latest mod...
i bought a clarion screen off a fellow forums member, and fitted it the other day i was wondering how i'd go about fitting it, as it requires the existing radio to be used for the sound (its an FM modulated screen). i attached 2 of those tin frames that you get with a headunit together to use as a bracket. i then slid both the screen and my headunit into the bracket, and attached the radio brackets to the side of the screen...... then i slid the unit into the ample space in the dash.. pic of unit in dash then i had to do something about getting it looking decent..... i used a hacksaw blade and cut out an area large enough to allow the original facia to fit over the now 2 DIN setup pic installed it looks fairly good as it is, but could do with some cosmetic work to finish it off.... im currently using a cheap dvd player, which is located in the glovebox.... im hping to be able to upgrade the headunit to one that plays DVD's soon. heres a final pic of the screen out, playing a dvd.... |
