Default Lowering Blocks

Hey brothers,

When i first purchased my EF five years ago it came with lowering blocks fitted on the *** end of my wagon which has leaf springs. Since i have never driven another EF wagon without lowering blocks i was curious as to if it affects handling at all. What are the known con's and pro's in regards to lowering blocks? BTW i can't just get rid of them and lower it normally as the gas (LPG) tank is situated close to the ground as it is and GSR sports strutts have been an option for me but at $500 a pair i think i'd rather spend the $ on performance mods.

Cheers.

Phil.
