Don't let the bad analogies made by the posters in this thread decide for you. Rent one for a couple of months. Then decide for yourself. After that time, you'll know if it can do what you need it to do and if the transition is going to be worthwhile.

Despite what they say, there are many successful businesses which are being run on Macs. It does work. Of course, whether you want it is up to you to decide.
