Default Changing coolant in Ea

Silly Question?

When you change the coolant on the sixes do they need to have the air bled out of the system? I know the older model fords need to be bled otherwise they get an air lock and seem to heat up very quickly! Im a relative newbie to EAs and an ex Holden man, Ive got two EAs now. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
